The same rights for everyone for greater safety

OSRAM has always focused on high product quality, and the health and safety of the consumers of its products.

The new directive on product safety1), which came into force on January 15, 2004, creates the same conditions in all EU member states and standardizes the safety requirements relating to products. The directive promises greater safety and transparency for the consumer.

To meet our obligations arising from this directive, we provide information on our products on the products themselves, on the packaging and on the leaflets enclosed with the products. Because there are so many different languages in the EU we use pictograms.
